Prime Real Estate Management, LLC was organized in the early 1980’s in Brooklyn, New York. The parent company, Turf Company, continues to own and manage an extensive portfolio of properties in New York. From the start, the goal was to encourage low-to-moderate income tenants to become apartment owners to ensure their security in rapidly gentrifying neighborhoods. This lead to several buildings in the area being converted to cooperatives in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
In the last two years, the company has expanded into the North Carolina market. The affiliate, known as Prime Real Estate Management, LLC owns several buildings in Raleigh, Greensboro, and Boone. In addition, the company owns and manages an apartment community in Wilmington, NC. The properties of Myrtle Grove and Pleasant Grove consist of 120 residential apartments serving the Wilmington, NC community.
